Ledlanet Estate

We bought the home farm of Craigowmill in 1983, Ledlanet House in 1989 and more recently Upper Warroch Farm. The estate now comprises 650 ha of mixed farmland, woodland policies and a Loch.

The ground rises from 140 to 450 meters ranging from arable to good hill grazing. It is all South facing with views over Loch Leven and the whole vale of Kinross. The estate is run on extensive lines with cattle as the main enterprise.

Our aim is to keep enough grazing to last the cows all winter supplemented only by ad lib molasses. This policy has resulted in an abundance of wildlife especially wading birds, butterflies and wild flowers amid a tranquil setting with wonderful views.
